The Constance Foundation was created in memory of Constance “Connie” Glauser and the lasting impact she had on the people around her.
Connie passed away from breast cancer in May 2006. Her memory became the inspiration for an effort centered on hope, community and helping people facing the financial challenges that can accompany a cancer diagnosis.
What began with a charity hockey game grew into the Constance Foundation and an ongoing commitment to raising funds through community events.
Today, the Foundation continues that mission through Hockey 4 Hope, charitable golf events and the generosity of participants, volunteers, sponsors, donors and community partners.

Hockey
4 Hope.
What began as a charity hockey game in memory of Connie has become a long-running Greater Binghamton community tradition.
The first Hockey 4 Hope game was played in 2010. Players, families, sponsors, volunteers and spectators come together around hockey with a shared purpose: raising money to help people affected by cancer.
The event has grown from a gathering of friends into a major community fundraiser. The 2026 Hockey 4 Hope game marked the event's 15th annual charity game.
For many participants, Hockey 4 Hope is personal. Players skate in honor or memory of family members, friends and others whose lives have been touched by cancer.
Golf
4 Hope.
The mission that brought people together on the ice now brings supporters together on the golf course.
The charity golf event was launched in 2025, creating another opportunity for local businesses, golfers, sponsors and community supporters to raise funds for the Constance Foundation.
Golf 4 Hope carries the same purpose as Hockey 4 Hope: bringing people together for a memorable event while helping families affected by cancer.
Through golf teams, corporate sponsorships and community participation, the event expands the Foundation's fundraising efforts beyond the rink and creates another way for the Greater Binghamton business community to get involved.
